67

What does 67 mean?

Six seven is a chant with no definition, which is the whole point. It works as a greeting, an answer, a punchline, and it arrives with a hand gesture, palms flipping up and down like a scale that never settles. Ask a kid what it means and you get a shrug; the shrug is the answer.

Where does 67 come from?

The rapper Skrilla released the song Doot Doot (6 7) at the end of 2024, and during 2025 the hook climbed out of hip-hop into school hallways and TikTok. It never acquired a definition, which made it impossible to debunk and very easy to chant.

How to use 67

• A seven-year-old explained six seven to me for ten minutes, and I understood less by the end of it.
• The whole bench did the hand thing after every basket and the gym went crazy.
