What does 人类高质量男性 mean?

In July 2021 a finance worker named 徐勤根 posted a video in which he described himself as a high-quality male seeking a high-quality female, delivered with a white-powdered face, oiled hair and a stiff-legged pose. The internet found the format irresistible: the phrase became a template for parodying anyone who sells themselves like merchandise, from dating profiles to job postings, and the pose itself was copied by celebrities. Attention curdled quickly. After he began charging for access to a private fan group, his accounts were restricted in late August 2021 and outlets including 新京报 and 央视网 criticized the cash grab. The term survives as a label for trying too hard to look premium, which keeps it close to 辣眼睛.

Where does 人类高质量男性 come from?

徐勤根 published the courtship video on Weibo and Douyin in July 2021, and remixes on Bilibili pushed the phrase into general circulation through August. On 22 and 23 August 2021 reports said his accounts had been restricted after he set a monthly fan-group fee reported at 25,000 yuan; 新京报 published a commentary on 24 August 2021 saying the ban was deserved. The subtitle 人类高质量男性 followed the video into meme history as a warning about packaging a person like a product.
